Kent Tory MP Eric Forth dies

The Conservative MP and former minister for Bromley and Chislehurst, Eric Forth, has died having been recently diagnosed with cancer.

Paying tribute to Eric Forth MP, Liberal Democrat Leader, Sir Menzies Campbell MP said:

"Eric Forth was a fine and independent spirit who valued Parliament and recognised its obligation to hold Government to account.

"His quick wittedness made him a formidable opponent in debate.

"He will be missed on all sides. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time."
