Shepway Lib Dems are now on Twitter (www.twitter.com): a FREE text message service which allows us to send you news on events and breaking news straight to your mobile. It's simple to set up to get free updates on forthcoming events from Shepway Lib Dems - simply send the text message FOLLOW SHEPWAYLD to 07624 801423 from your mobile phone and follow the instructions from there. UPDATE 15th August: It seems Shepway Lib Dems killed Twitter! The ability to receive free SMS updates from Twitter has been removed http://blog.twitter.com/2008/08/changes-for-some-sms-usersgood-and-bad.html. They say: "Twitter is no longer delivering outbound SMS over our UK number. If you have been receiving SMS updates from Twitter via +44 762 480 1423, you'll notice that they've stopped and you may want to explore some of the alternatives we're suggesting." If anyone can see a use for Twitter without free SMS updates, please do let us know...
