Lib Dems Welcome Healthcare Commissioning Report

9.56.43am GMT Wed 14th Jan 2009

At the Kent County Council Healthcare Overview Committee last week Dan Daley, Lib Dem Spokesperson on Health matters, congratulated the management of the Maidstone/Tunbridge Wells Hospital Trust at Maidstone Hospital on the extremely positive report issued today by the Health Commission.

This shows that an incredible turnaround from the dark days of 2007 concerning infections at the Maidstone/Tunbridge Wells Hospitals. Now, the commission says, Maidstone is leading the way against infection and the positive results are patently obvious in the latest figures.

Cllr. Daley says that "this shows that all the previous criticisms have been fully addressed and that there is now an ongoing co-operative spirit between staff, patients and visitors in maintaining the more rigorous hygiene regimes to the benefit of all."
