Kent Highways Services are going to be resurfacing the junction of Beachborough Road and Shorncliffe Road, Folkestone, and the approaches to it prior to the start of full high speed rail services to London commencing from Folkestone West train station.

They plan to carry out the resurfacing on Wednesday 11th, Thursday 12th and Friday 13th November, with both Beachborough Road and Shorncliffe Road being closed between the hours of 19:00 and 05:00. Kent Highway Services aim to complete the work by 05:00 on Saturday 14th November.

The works will be carried out using an overnight road closure. The route for diverted traffic wishing to access Beachborough Road will be via Cheriton Road and Shorncliffe Road (south of closure). The route for diverted traffic wishing to access Shorncliffe Road (west of closure) will be via Audley Road, Baldric Road, Welson Road and Bathurst Road. Kent Highway Services will endeavour to provide access for residents wherever possible, provided it is safe to do so.
