Local People Back CCTV

July 26, 2014 10:45 AM

Lynne Beaumont and Folkestone CCTV street surveyWhen Conservative Shepway District Council decided to cut CCTV from our town centre, Lynne Beaumont and the Lib Dems decided to hit the high street and ask people what they wanted.

They asked people to vote by placing a ball in a tube if they wanted CCTV in the town centre or not?

As you can see, the result was an overwhelming YES. Local people want CCTV and as a result Folkestone Town Council will now take on the system and maintain it.

Tom McNeice said:

"The Conservative council make decisions that affect lives without asking local people.

"Only the Lib Dems are willing to go out and ask people what they want.

"If you back me to be elected to Shepway Council I will continue to listen to people and act on the results."
