Folkestone's message to Tory Transport Minister Robert Goodwill

July 9, 2015 3:32 PM

Folkestone Herald Front Page The Folkestone Herald has not pulled its punches in response to the view of the Conservative Ports and Shipping Minister Robert Goodwill's view that Operation Stack does not cause traffic chaos.

Shepway Lib Dem Tim Prater slammed Robert Goodwill's view, and asked if local MP Damian Collins endorsed his colleagues view. Tim said:

"Robert Goodwill is just wrong, or has a definition of 'chaos' I never want to live through. His Government is clearly more fixated on its 'Northern Powerhouse' to deal with the problems suffered by those of us in the 'South-Eastern Car Park'".

Tim also challenged Damian Collins on Twitter on his colleague's views:

To date, Damian Collins has not replied.
