"The Liberal Democrats are the party that supports residents take care of their mental and physical wellbeing.

The pandemic has taken its toll on the mental and physical health of so many people and the Liberal Democrats are committed to making sure that those most adversely affected are given the support they need.

Our parks, sports clubs, recreational grounds are so important to allowing residents to take care of their own physical health and we will be defending these spaces and improving upon them where necessary. We will also make sure that that leisure centres are kept affordable, accessible and well run.

Physical health has physical benefits but improves mental health too and sports clubs provide much needed socialisation for all ages. FamilywithBaby

Health is of course not just about exercise, a fit well mind is essential to good outcomes in life and Liberal Democrats will be ensuring that mental health provision gets a much needed boost.

We believe a community can only thrive when both the mental and physical wellbeing of residents of all ages are prioritised and our cradle to grave approach is what is needed.

Schools will be given particular attention as we strengthen our children and young people with support around mental health so they can flourish."
